Enthalpy Changes
Enthalpy Change of neutralisation 1 mole of water is formed by the reaction of an acid and base under standard states and conditions - exothermic process
Enthalpy change of solution - when one mole of a solute is dissolved in sufficient solvent that no further enthalpy change occurs on more dilution - 1 mole of a solid --> 1 mole of an (aq) compound
(note: it's pretty much an enthalpy change where you're creating a saturated solution)
Standard Lattice Enthalpy - (pretty much a measure of ionic bond strength) When one mole of a solid ionic compound is formed from its gaseous ions under standard conditions and states
Cl2 --> 2Cl atomisation of chlorine
Cl already a gas - convert it to XCl (X being a number)
whatever number acts as X that's how much you times the atomisation of chlorine by
